Resolution detail

The Subcouncil Manager introduced the report relating on Progressive Capital Expenditure: August 2020 and said the report is for noting and officials are present in the meeting for questions of clarity.
 
On Annexure A Mr. Cedras said that he does not have any new information regarding the project unless the ward councillor have questions.
 
Cllr Nyingwa said the has a meeting with the FMC regarding items they would like to procure.
 
Mr. Charl September said that he is not the project manager for the Libraries the project manager is Bradley but both projects for Nyanga and Maneneberg are in the planning stage.
 
Mr. Daniels will get clarity from Health department for updates on the projects.
Cllr Manata noted the report supported by Cllr Nyingwa.
 
Ms. Parker said that all the traffic calming measure projects are on planning stage and the holdup was because of the pandemic and the tender was approved for new traffic measures and it will be available in November. Cllr Zondani said that there was a meeting with Tim De Villiers regarding traffic calming measures for the 2021/2022 and there were questions of clarity. Mr. Daniels said that there is a late item regarding traffic calming.
 
Mr. Bidla said that the J Nontulo Stadium project is a continuation of the project that started in the last financial year and everything is in order. He said that at Millers Camp the first phase is completed and they are busy with getting funding for the second phase.
 
He also mentioned that he will have consultation with Cllr Manata regarding the fencing at Ikhwezi Community Hall.
 
Mr. Daniels asked if Mr. Cedras can give input regarding Gugulethu cemetery.
 
Mr. Cedras said that a meeting need to be arranged with Ms. Susan Brice, Cllr Yozi and the Subcouncil chairperson and get an update regarding the cemetery status. Cllr Makasi said the meeting should include the sub council as a whole because all councillors do have a problem regarding the cemetery. She also said that we need a meeting with Ruberto Isaacs from Health department.
 
Cllr Ngxumza said that the PTI he does not have any information regarding that and he is not aware who is the responsible official for that project and there is funding involved. Cllr Zondani said that a meeting should also be arranged to gather the information regarding the project.
 
Mr. Cedras said that there were some changes and there was a problem with the tender process and an RFQ was going to be advertised and will communicate with Cllr Jacobs regarding that. Cllr Jacobs said she will ask for funding from MURP regarding Irvine Park and she is in communication with Mr. Cedras and the CLO of the park.
 
Mr. September said that the furniture for Maneneberg Library the funds are committed and everything will be concluded in October 2020.
 
Cllr Zondani said that the issue of the infrastructure in the Subcouncil is not good can the manager raise it in the EMT meeting with the Director for further deliberations.
 
On Annexure B Mr. Kapery said all the area cleaning projects will start on the 1st October 2020.
 
Mr. Daniels said that all Grants-in- Aid applications have been received and the workshop was done we are waiting for the second screening. The anticipated date for payments to the beneficiary organisations is end November 2020.
 
There was unanimous agreement with the resolution.

That the Report BE NOTED with comment made by Subcouncil.
