Resolution detail

The Subcouncil Manager introduced the report relating on Proposed Lease of City Land Portion of ERF 13481 Nyanga, Between Luthango and Dyakala Crescents’ Nyanga: Mama Africa Ithemba Labahlali Sewing and Baking Project and asked the official to take the meeting through.
 
Cllr Zondani supported the Lease for the land he is aware of the project and they are operating.
 
Cllr Jacobs also supported the Lease seconded by Cllr Ngxumza.
 
There was unanimous agreement with the resolution.
 
RESOLVED
 
that the lease of City land, being a portion of Erf 13481 Nyanga, situated between Luthango and Dyakala Crescents, Nyanga shown hatched and lettered ABCDEF on the attached sketch STC 3042 marked annexure A, in extent approximately 526 m², to  the Mama Africa Ithema Labahlali Sewing and Baking Project or their successors in title, be approved subject to inter alia the following conditions:
 

1. A tariff rental of R1111.00 per annum including VAT calculated at the rate applicable at the time of transaction be payable. Rates not applicable;

2. The lease will endure for a period of ten years;

3. The rental will be adjusted annually in terms of the rental tariff structure as approved by Council;

4. The property be used for Training of Women and Youth in Sewing and Baking Classes only;

5. Subject to such further conditions to be imposed by the Director: Property Management in terms of her delegated authority;

6. Subject to compliance with any other statutory requirements;

7. No compensation will be payable for any improvement made to the property.
