DRAFT CLIMATE CHANGE STRATEGY FOR PUBLIC COMMENT

Ms Arendse informed the members that the purpose of this report is to ensure that Subcouncils have the opportunity to comment on the draft Climate Change Strategy.
The Subcouncil Manager informed the members that a report served at the August Subcouncil meeting however this is the draft climate change strategy for public comment and requested members to send additional comments to the Subcouncil.
Ms Arendse applauded and encourage the Subcouncil members to continue planting trees every month for the next 30 years. She said a plan to be drafted for the removal of plastics from dams and rivers.
Ald. Antonio van der Rheede encouraged members to identify 30 people to be issued with seedlings to plant in their back yard.
