Cllr Isaacs reported that he had a meeting with Duncan Alcock and Racquel Barnard of AED and according to the policy the City does not make provision for any containers and happy to remove the item and see if they can do something else on the property.
The Chairperson suggested that Cllr Isaacs take this matter up with AED in terms of policy development and engage with directly with the Portfolio Committee.
Cllr Isaacs responded that he is happy to do that because right around the world containers is now the future of new housing and business and cannot see that the City of Cape Town does not have anything in place for that.
RESOLVED That the item be
REMOVED from the MRA’s as the City does not have a policy in place that makes provision for containers and that he would deal directly with policy development at the Portfolio Committee.
