RESOLVED TO RECOMMEND
 

1. Subcouncil 20 supports the recommendation that a portion of City Land, being a portion of remainder Erf 52279 situated at Belvedere Road Claremont, shown hatched and lettered ABC curved DE on the attached sketch STC 6645v3 marked annexure A, in extent approximately 1002m², to the Scouts South Africa (2^nd Claremont Scouts Group) or their successors in title, be approved subject to inter alia the following Conditions:

1. A tariff rental of R920.00 per annum excluding VAT calculated at the rate applicable at the time of transaction be payable. Rates not applicable;

2. The lease will endure for a period of ten years;

3. The rental will be adjusted annually in terms of the rental tariff structure as approved by Council.

4. The property be used for scouting activity purposes only;

5. Subject to such further Conditions to be imposed by the Director: Property Management in terms of her delegated authority;

6. Subject to compliance with any other statutory requirements;

7. No compensation will be payable for any improvement made to the property

2. Subcouncil 20 requests that Property Management that the lease agreement be amended because venues are not exclusively used for scouting activities.
