After discussion Subcouncil 16 agreed as follows:
UANIMOUSLY RESOLVED to RECOMMEND that the Executive Mayor
recommend to Council that:
In terms of the provision of the City of Cape Town’s Informal Trading By-Law, Section 6 and 7, Council to revoke that portion of the proclamation in Provincial Gazette 7661, dated 12 August 2016, which effectively deals with informal trading in Green Point suburb.
In terms of section 6.9 of the Informal Trading By-Law, Council to consider the objections and comments received.
In term of section 6.9 of the City of Cape Town’s Informal Trading By-
Law, the informal trading plan for Green Point, as shown in annexure “A”, “A1”,’A2”,” A3” attached to the report, be adopted as being an area in which the carrying on of the business of street vendor, peddler or hawker, is restricted to persons in possession of a valid trading permit.
Within the trading plan area, the following trading times are applicable:

Cnr Somerset and Ebenezer Roads - trading will occur from Monday-
Saturday 06h00-17h00.

Cnr Somerset and Ebenezer Roads - trading will occur from Monday-
Saturday 06h00-17h00.

Cnr Vlei and Helen Suzman Boulevard - the market will only operate on
Sundays and Public Holiday from 06h00-17h00.
(e) That the suburb of Green Point, Mouille Point and Three Anchor Bay, as framed
in annexure “A”, will be declared a restricted/prohibited trading area, with the
exceptions of trading sites marked on annexure “A1 – “A3” attached to the
report.
Additional recommendations;
(f) That Gazebos used by traders be the same for positive visual impact.
(g) Need to have a Draft Management Plan to be attached to this report and sent to
Council.
(h) Report to Subcouncil every six months, to see whether the plan is working.
