RESOLVED TO RECOMMEND

Subcouncil 20 notes and supports the contents of the report in respect of the intended making available for redevelopment of a number of sites across Cape Town as mentioned in the report for the purposes of carbon-neutral development demonstration projects.
FURTHER RESOLVED TO RECOMMEND

Subcouncil 20 requests that cognisance be taken of the following comments:

The fact that advertising has been restricted to two newspapers and not the community newspapers.

For fair public participation, an advert should be displayed at the site, namely, Mouquet Farm, to ensure that the local community is aware of this initiative.
-
Once more information becomes available, a public meeting must be convened.
