It is recommended that the lease of City property, being erven 4279 and 4280 adjacent to erf 4278 situated at corner of Mongesi Road and Mateta Street, Khayelitsha, shown lettered ABCDEFGH on the attached sketch ET 613/1 marked annexure A, in extent approximately 2 803 m2, to Ikamva Labantu Charitable Trust (NPO 082-581), or its successors in title, be approved subject to inter alia the following conditions, that:

A tariff rental of R883,48 per annum excluding VAT calculated at the rate applicable at the time of transaction be payable. Rates not applicable;

The lease will endure for a period of ten (10) years, with an option to renew for a further ten (10) years;

The rental will be adjusted annually in terms of the rental tariff structure as approved by Council
-
The property be used for social (food gardening) purposes only;

Subject to such further conditions to be imposed by the Director: Property Management in terms of her delegated authority;

Subject to compliance with any other statutory requirements;

No compensation will be payable for any improvement made to the property
