RESEVATION OF PORTIONS OF ERVEN 108359, 106637 AND 40214 CAPE TOWN: THE DIRECTORATE URBAN MANAGEMENT (AREA CENTRAL)
Mr Saul Jacobs informed the members that Urban Management is responsible for security cost incurred. He further informed members that the final decision lies with Director Property Management for final decision. He indicated the plan highlighting section J,K,L,M to A will be physically closed including the alley way.
Ald Antonio van der Rheede mentioned that people in the area have no recreational facilities and land available should be considered to address such issues.

RESOLVED
The Subcouncil members unanimously SUPPORT the recommendation;
That portions of Erven 108359, 106637 AND 40214 Cape town situated at Hanover Park, measuring approximately 30681 m² in extent, indicated as ABCDEFGHJKLM on Plan STC 3396 marked annexure A, be reserved for the Directorate Urban Management (Area Central), subject to the following conditions:

The subject properties may be utilized for the purposes of Urban Farming (Hydroponics/Aquaponics) only;

The said Directorate accepts full responsibility for management and maintenance of the subject properties including, utility consumption, security and contents insurance;

Directorate Urban Management (Area Central) takes cognizance of and adhere to the conditions stated by the service branches in paragraph 9 (Comments from services branches- The application was circulated to the service branches and no objections or conditions to the proposed reservation were received)

All cost related to the reservation shall be for account of the Directorate Urban Management (Area Central)
