In view of the above it is RECOMMENDED that,
The Recreation and Parks Department draft a policy to guide the application process, assessment criteria, construction materials and ongoing maintenance for the erection of benches and other infrastructure on City beaches and public open spaces.

A meeting be arranged with the Chairperson, Ward Councillors, Subcouncil Manager and Mr Alexander Dykes to discuss the draft policy for park benches in public open spaces.
