Resolution detail

It was RESOLVED that

1. Detailed plans with regard to the envisaged public consultation process be discussed with the subcouncil;
2. Councillors familiarise themselves with the content of the 2012 District Plans and the Municipal Spatial Development Framework to allow for better consultation
3. Subcouncil approves the initiation of the process for the review of the eight 2012 approved District Spatial Development Frameworks (previously called District Spatial Plans);
4. Subcouncil approves the specific geographic boundary delineation for the respective District Spatial Development Frameworks;
5. Subcouncil agrees that henceforth this project shall be referred to as the District Spatial Development Framework Review;
6. Subcouncil supports that the District Spatial Development Framework, once recommended for approval by the subcouncil, be the informant of the technical update of the Cape Town Municipal Spatial Development Framework and the new cycle integrated development plan in 2022 by Council in its new term of office;  
7. Subcouncil supports the proposal to conduct and participate in the proposed built environment empowerment training programme for councillors, officials, ward committee members and relevant community stakeholders;
8. The district spatial development framework (district spatial plan) review 2019/2020: initiation report BE NOTED.
