Resolution detail

Mr N Williams informed the members that the Pooke se Bos Housing Project development is currently within the planning and design (development approval) phase.

The members made the following comments;

Cllr Antonio van der Rheede factored the architectural view of the area and character to the area. He informed the members that if there is an influx of people will have to be taken into account e.g. if born in the informal settlement it gives you certain rights.
Cllr Cassiem requested that arrangement be made by the Line department to earmark space for Recreation & Sport for Pook se Bos community. The front view must look attractive and beautiful e.g. fencing, trees ensure that it give character to the site. Subcouncil to allocate ward allocation for Recreational & Sport to purchase sport equipment.
Cllr Moses quoted Chapter 2 & 4 Constitution Systems Act and informed members that it is a constitutional Legal demand to develop inclusive development e.g. sport facility. Transversal policy of the City also endorses the position. Human Settlement to engage other Line departments budgeting for future that recreation form part of development
