Resolution detail

It was NOTED that an application for a liquor licence received from the Pick n Pay Liquor was considered in terms of sub-delegated and that the following recommendation was forwarded to the liquor authority in terms of the Western Cape Liquor Act,2008, as amended:
 
Sub Council 03 recommends that the application for a Consumption OFF Premises Liquor Licence, reference no. LLA19030021, for the business Pick n Pay Liquor Panorama NOT BE SUPPORTED for the following reasons:

1. The site has local Business 2 zoning that requires an application for consent use in the case of sale of liquor. The rights are therefore not in place.

2. The space that the applicant has in mind is still occupied by the post office and the post office is not sure when they will move.
3. The applicant indicated he will make minor structural changes hence Fire Department’s finding that they cannot support this application because the facility is not ready for inspection.
