Cllr Davids enquired about the way forward for Pearl Crescent Park. Mr Cedras of Recreation and Parks, introduced Ms Vuyiswa Maposa and informed the meeting that she was the new project manager who had been appointed to deal with the parks. He said that she will meet with all the relevant Cllrs once she has familiarized herself with the area and the projects. Ald Cavanaugh commended Mr Rigby for the significant progress he has made towards implementing his projects as soon as possible. He said that this was an excellent example which should be followed by all officials. Ald March expressed his concern regarding the big trucks that use Lower College Road and pointed out that they damage the kerbs. He also wanted to know about the usage of the gate as he felt that it would be a risk to use just anyone. He also enquired about the savings on the project. He said that the Cllr need to meet with Mr Rigby to get another plan going regarding the gate key. Mr Rigby of TDA reported that they always hold back retention money to make sure that the project implementation was 100%. He said that he has no problem meeting with the Ward Cllr. Ald March encouraged the Cllrs to monitor their ward allocation projects closely and to make sure they know what is happening in their wards. RESOLVED that: The content of the Progressive Capital Expenditure Report (PCER) be NOTED.
