The Subcouncil Chairperson informed the Subcouncil that due to protest action and sporadic violence which led to damaging of the Fezeka Building,Fire station and Subcouncil offices. The Subcouncil is currently utilising office space at Subcouncil 17 office Athlone. He said additional space is being sort and the application is with the ED. Cllr Bongani is currently without office space because Loyolo Community hall is occupied by the Gugulethu backyarders and additional space is being sort for Cllr Ngcombolo to operate and attend to service delivery issues. • Ward 40 Mandela day event held on the 18 July 2018 at KTC Hall Nyanga was a great success. Cllr Ngcombolo also handed cleaning tools and equipment to Newrest Volunteers in Ward 40. • Ward 40 Business Summit event scheduled on 23 August 2018 at Endlovini Community Hall New Cross Roads. • Ward 44 Women’s day event scheduled 18 August 2018 at Vangate hall Vanguard • Ward 47 Memorial event in commemoration of children and family members that died being killed by stray bullets due to gang violence is scheduled 29 August 2018 at Hanover Park Civic, Hanover Park and the executive Mayor Alderman Patricia de Lille has been invited as the Keynote Speaker for the day.
