Resolution detail
The following comments were received from the Ward Councillors:
Ward 59
a) Rondebosch Library – replacement of the roof and all interior repair & upgrading work
b) Roads Branch – additional funds for the repainting of road markings – direction signs / stop / yellow & red lines etc.
c) Roads Branch – additional funds to provide for dropped curbs to assist who in wheel chairs & Moms & Dads with prams
d) Parks Branch – additional funds are required so that the grass, especially in parks, are cut on a more frequent basis.
e) Cleansing - additional funds are certainly needed to far more cleansing carried out in business areas & those residential areas close to business areas.
f) Electricity Branch – funds are required for the painting of electricity street poles
Ward 72
a) Installation of electronic traffic signaling at the intersection of Mocke and De Waal Road Diepriver.
b) Resurfacing and upgrade of Retreat Road as part of improved transport network.
c) Capital funding for the Princess Vlei Park upgrade – construction of the circular track around the vlei.
d) Upgrade of Consort and Flora Roads Retreat
e) Upgrade of facility at Solo park.

Comments received for Ward 58 from Cllr Cottle:
- More regular weeding and mowing of parks/open spaces & road verges.
-Also tree pruning, especially on public roads – damaging electricity. infrastructure and risk when we have severe wind and storms.
- Maintenance of road surfaces – retarring, street painting (lines & verges).
- Maintenance of electricity poles and power boxes.
- More regular street sweeping and collection of public refuse bins.
- Maintenance of park infrastructure and equipment.

Mr Richard White, Subcouncil Manager, reported that initially it was requested that Councillors meet to obtain comments. Ward Councillors were requested to comment via email which proved to be more efficient.
The information received from Councillors was forwarded to the relevant Departments for consideration.
The Chairperson advised that the matter be removed from the MRA report.
