The requests for the installation of a fixed speed camera and the reduction of the speed limit at the entrance to Kommetjie was forwarded the Camera Review Committee (CRC) and Speed Limit Review Committee respectively for consideration.
The Committees would scrutinise the speed surveys/speed profile, investigate the crash statistics (fatalities, serious or slight damage only) and take the topography of the area.
Due to the lengthy process, manual speed enforcement would be implemented.
