Resolution detail
Mr Derek Louw represented the Finance Department.
An updated ward allocation progress report was tabled by the Subcouncil manager. See Addendum A.
Concerns raised:
•With the current water crisis period, is landscaping still being done?
•Cape Daisies do not need water and should be planted
•Due to vandalism, the timber beams used outside the Sentinel School only lasted three (3) days and should not be used again.
In response:
•Ms Pauline McConney said that the Parks Department is changing its stance on landscaping by planting indigenous and Karoo type plants, and by paving.
•Ms Phumla Mrubata stated that the Parks Department is currently using effluent water and is looking at alternative measures to save water.
Parks Department was commended for their efforts in saving water.
UNANIMOUSLY RESOLVED that:
a) the Progressive Capital Expenditure report as at the end of July 2017 be NOTED.
b)the comment on page 004, CPX.0010896-F1 Imizamo Yethu IS Emergency project be clarified as to virement of R5m.
c)on page 005, CPX.0009177-F1 Road Rehabilitation – Imizamo Yethu – when will the contractor be on site?
d)that the response to (b) and (c) above be emailed to the Subcouncil 16 manager.
