Resolution detail

It was suggested that the applicant be approached to determine whether he is interested in also leasing an adjoining piece of city land in addition to portion of city land being Erven 528 and 2246. UNANIMOUSLY RESOLVED to RECOMMEND that the lease of portion of city land being Erven 528 and 2246 Oranjezicht situated behind Sir George Grey Street, shown hatched and lettered ABCD on the sketch ST9148/5 marked Annexure A attached to the report, in extent approximately 75m², to Stefan Daniel Rentsch, owner of Erf 174 Oranjezicht or his successors in title, BE APPROVED subject to inter alia the following conditions, that: a) A tariff rental of R395.61 per annum excluding VAT of 14% where applicable, being R55.39( in total – R451) be payable; b) The lease will endure for a period of ten years; c) The rental will adjusted annually in terms of the rental tariff structure as approved by Council; d) The property be used for gardening purposes only; e) Subject to such further conditions to be imposed by the Director: Property Management in terms of her delegated authority; f) Subject to compliance with any other statutory requirements; g) No compensation will be payable for any improvement made to the property.
