RESOLVED TO RECOMMEND
1. Subcouncil 20 recommends that the asset be leased to a third party subject to the current custodian line department improving the building to a standard that makes occupation viable (with an occupancy certificate).
2. Any rental should only be effective when the building is occupational.
3. Subcouncil 20 recommends that the Executive Director: Assets and Facilities assess or determine:
a. Whether a lease of less than three years is viable for a prospective lessee, OR
b. Whether a prospective lessee might be willing to improve
the building in terms of its corporate social responsibility and accept a short lease.
