• Goodman Rorwana reported that they had a meeting with the new Head of the department and this matter was brought to their attention. Arrangements are now in place.
• Cllr Khatshwa reported that Sport & Recreation is responsible for the project and have decided to come together to do the work. City of Cape Town need to look at the safety of the area. The people who burn down properties when they are not satisfied and this continues when you are building and they are burning at the same time. City of Cape Town need to look at the issue of fencing of the community facilities so that it can be protected when people are frustrated when they take it out on municipal buildings and not be vandalized.
• The lighting is a problem and need to be fixed on the precinct of the hall.
RESOLVED
a) That the Sub-council speed up the response with the implementation.
b) That the be REMOVED from the Matters Receiving Attention.

RESOLVED
That the motion submitted by the Cllr D Khatshwa be supported and that the Subcouncil approach the Property Department to establish which department is responsible to maintain the open courtyard in front of Desmond Tutu Recreation Centre and be considered development that will include fencing of the open courtyard up to the Desmond Tutu Recreation Centre wall.
