16/01/2017:UNANIMOUSLY RESOLVED that: a)The application received from Morrow Investments CC for a business license for health and entertainment: nightclub or discotheque. ERF 2127, 107 Bree Street, Cape Town, BE REFUSED for the following reason: (i)the applicant has not complied with the appropriate requirements set for mechanical ventilation, health and fire and noise control. See Annexures A, B, C, D attached to the report. b)The applicant be informed accordingly and notified of his/her right of appeal in this regard. c)Law Enforcement be requested to take the necessary action as to the premises’ non-compliance with the city’s requirements. Mr Sigmund Badenhorst represented the Health Department. Cllr Bryant proposed that applicant be provided an opportunity to become compliant with the City’s mechanical ventilation, health, fire and noise control requirements. After discussion, Subcouncil 16 agreed as follows: UNANIMOULY RESOLVED that the application for a business licence for health and entertainment: nightclub or discotheque: Morrow Investments CC trading as La Parada Bree, Erf 2127, 107 Bree Street, Cape Town: Michael Russel Townsend BE DEFERRED to the January 2017 meeting to allow the applicant an opportunity to become compliant with the City’s mechanical ventilation, health, fire and noise control requirements.
