RESOLVED that:
a. The application for temporary land use departure for a cheese depot on remainder portion 303 of Farm 728, Joostenbergvlakte smallholdings in terms of section 42(c) of the Municipal Planning By-Law, 2015 BE REFUSED in terms of Section 98(c) of the Municipal Planning By-law, 2015.
b. The application for departure to permit 0.0m in lieu of 5.0m from northern, eastern and southern common boundary and 0.0m in lieu of 5.0m from northern, eastern and southern common boundary, on remainder portion 303 of Farm 728, Joostenbergvlakte smallholdings in terms of section 42(b) of the Municipal Planning By-Law, 2015 BE REFUSED in terms of Section 98(c) of the Municipal Planning By-law, 2015.
REASONS FOR DECISION:
The MPT REFUSED the application for the reasons as set out in Planner’s report, except reason 7.1.6 which is amended as follows:
7.1.6. The use of the area must be reserved for rural use, due to the lack of bulk engineering services including road infrastructure.
