Resolution details

RESOLVED that:
a. The application for consent use to permit a freestanding base telecommunication station and associated infrastructure, as set out in annexure A, on erf 1794, Parklands, BE APPROVED in terms of section 98(b)(iii) of the Municipal Planning By-Law, 2015, subject to conditions contained in annexure A.

b. The application for regulation departure in respect of the freestanding base telecommunication station set out in annexure A on erf 1794, Parklands, BE APPROVED in terms of section 98(b)(iii) of the Municipal Planning By-Law, 2015, subject to conditions contained in annexure A.



REASONS FOR DECISION
The MPT APPROVED the application for the reasons set out in the Planner’s Report and agreed to amend reason 7.1.4 as follows:

7.1.4 The objections citing negative health impacts and property devaluation are not based on factual proof and can therefore not be considered as sufficient grounds for refusal of the proposal.
