RESOLVED UNANIMOUSLY:
Consent in terms of Section 42(i) of the Municipal Planning By-Law 2015 (MPBL) in order to permit a freestanding base telecommunication station (FSBTS), comprising, inter alia, a 20m high palm tree style mast and related equipment containers, on Erf 1020 Eversdale, BE REFUSED in terms of Section 98 (c) of the MPBL.
REASONS FOR DECISION:
The MPT REFUSED the application for the reasons set out below
1. The MPT is of the view that insufficient attention has been given to alternative locations.
2. The visual impact in this specific location is negative.
