Although the objector (Sea Point, Fresnaye & Bantry Bay Rate Payers Association) was invited to make an oral representation, they were not present at the Municipal Planning Tribunal meeting. After waiting 20 minutes, the interview proceeded without them. Mr Van Der Westhuizen explained the rules of procedure, stating that parties must be present 15 minutes before the time.
Mr Andrew Pratt addressed the panel in support of the application.
After discussion, the panel agreed that this matter be REFERRED BACK for the department to look at the parking concern, PT1 and PT2 clarification with respect to the site, kitchen units, the number of rooms and building lines.
