RESOLVED UNANIMOUSLY

That the application for consent to permit the operation of a Place of Entertainment with sale of alcohol in respect of Erf 12418, Parow BE APPROVED in terms of Section 98 (b) of the Municipal Planning By-law, 2015, subject to the conditions contained in Annexure A.

Additional Condition

2.5 That a Noise Management Plan be submitted to the satisfaction of the Environmental Health Department

REASONS FOR DECISION:

The MPT APPROVED the application for the reason set out in the planner’s report except reasons 7.1.1 and 7.1.2which is amended as follows:

7.1.1. The proposal is considered compatible with the City’s relevant policies, as employment opportunities are encouraged sustaining the opportunity city.
7.1.2. With the conditions imposed the proposed operation is considered unlikely to cause adverse effects on neighbors’ privacy, noise, safety and enjoyment of any internal and external living spaces due to its location within a predominantly industrial area.
