Resolution details

UNANIMOUSLY RESOLVED that:
a. The application for the rezoning of Erf 25550, corner of Solomon Street and Gosa Street, Asanda Village, Strand, from Single Residential Zone 1, with a consent for a Place of Worship, to Community Zone 1, for the establishment of a multi- purpose community hall (place of worship/concert hall), approximately 450m2 in extent, BE APPROVED in terms of Section 98(b) of the Municipal Planning By-Law, 2015 subject to the conditions contained in Annexure A hereto;

b. The application for a permanent departure for the relaxation of the 5m common boundary building lines on Erf 25550, corner of Solomon Street and Gosa Street, Asanda Village, Strand, along the south western common boundary, to 3m, to accommodate the abovementioned building, BE APPROVED in terms of Section 98(b) of the Municipal Planning By-Law, 2015 subject to the conditions contained in Annexure A hereto.

REASONS FOR DECISION
The MPT APPROVED the application for the reasons set out in the Planner’s Report.
