An administrative penalty in the amount of R 5 000.00 BE APPROVED in terms of Section 129 of the City of Cape Town Municipal Planning By-Law, 2015 in respect of Erf 173650, Cape Town.
REASONS FOR DECISION
The MPT APPROVED the application for the reasons set out in the Planner’s Report and agreed to add the following:
- Building activity has ceased
- The application is supported by the Heritage department
- When compared to the applicant’s estimate, the departmental estimation is excessive
- The applicant provided compelling motivation for reduction in the penalty
