a. That the application for consent for a freestanding telecommunication base station in terms of Item 59(b) of the Development Management Scheme for Erf 111040 Cape Town at Retreat, BE APPROVED in terms of Section 98(b) of the Municipal Planning By-Law, 2015, subject to the conditions as set out in Annexure A.
b. That the application for departures, as set out in Annexure A, on Erf 111040 Cape Town at Retreat, BE APPROVED in terms of Section 98(b) of the Municipal Planning By-Law, 2015.
REASONS FOR DECISION:
The MPT APPROVED the application for the reasons set out in the Planner’s report except reason 7.1.2 which is amended as follows:
7.1.2 The visual impact of the mast will be acceptable in this context, because the antenna is contained within the mast thereby reducing visual clutter.
