Resolution details
RESOLVED that:
a. The application for rezoning of Erf 63369 from SR1 to GR2 BE APPROVED in terms of section 98(b) of the Municipal Planning By-Law 2015.
b. The application for departures for relaxation of parking provision from 10 to 6 bays for Erf 63369 BE APPROVED in terms of section 98(b) of the Municipal Planning By-Law.
c. The application for departures to permit the block of flats 1.5m in lieu of 4.5m from the northern boundary for Erf 63369 BE APPROVED in terms of section 98(b) of the Municipal Planning By-Law.
d. The application for departures to permit the block of flats to be 1m in lieu of 4.5m from the western common boundary for Erf 63369 BE APPROVED in terms of section 98(b) of the Municipal Planning By-Law.
REASONS FOR DECISION
1. There is no significant impact on surrounding properties.
2. There is no significant overshadowing or overlooking features on neighbouring properties
3. The location of the flats on the site facilitates onsite parking
4. The proposal promotes appropriate densification
AMENDMENT TO CONDITIONS:
Delete 2.1.2
2.1.3 becomes 2.1.2:
2.1.2 Development of the property shall be substantially in accordance with the approved Site Development Plan referenced in Annexure C

Mr Chittenden excused himself at 14:30 and was not present for discussions relating to agenda items 41, 43, 44, 45, 46, 47, 48 and 49. He did, however, state that he had examined all the reports and is in support of the planner’s recommendations for those remainder applications, as listed.
