Resolution details

a) The Municipal Planning Tribunal South-western Panel APPROVES The application for a departure, as set out in Annexure A, attached to the departmental report dated 2016-10-20, for Erf 7339, Grassy Park, in terms of Section 98 of the City of Cape Town Municipal Planning By-Law.

REASONS FOR DECISION:

1. The location of the carport is in the area designated for parking (existing driveway).
2. The addition of a carport on the property could possible enhance the security of the property which could in turn have a knock-on effect on other properties in the road.
3. The building line departure will not negatively affect the streetscape.
