Resolution details

a) The Municipal Planning Tribunal South-western Panel APPROVES the application for the subdivision of Erf 60754 Cape Town at Lansdowne, in terms of Section 98 of the City of Cape Town Municipal Planning By-law, 2015 in accordance with the plan of subdivision with reference number 16/4564 dated March 2016, subject to conditions contained in Annexure A, attached to the departmental report dated 2016-10-18.

REASONS FOR DECISION

1. The level of densification proposed is very low and contextually appropriate.
2. The proposal will not impact negatively on surrounding properties and the character of the area.
3. The approval of this application complies with the Cape Flats District Plan and the Cape Town Densification Policy and the Urban Design Policy..
4. The subject property is within close proximity to major public transport routes and/or infrastructure.
5. Both portions have sufficient space to accommodate on-site parking.
