Subcouncil 6 SUPPORTED and NOTED the report and recommended to the Director Property Management that Remainder Erf 4907 and Erf 4920 Bellville, situated at Avondale Street, Bellville, in extent 498 and 496 m² respectively and as
indicated as ABCD on Plan 130010007 attached as Annexure A to the report, BE RESERVED for the Safety & Security Information Management Services (SSIMS) branch within the Operational Coordination Department of the Safety and Security
Directorate, subject to the following conditions:
 
a) The subject property shall be utilised for the purpose of an operational
base for the Crime Liason Officers (CLOs) by the Safety & Security
Information Management Services (SSIMS) branch;
 
b) The Branch takes responsibility for any required land use processes, as
well as compliance with legislation related to the utilization of the
properties and buildings;
 
c) That cognisance be taken of the internal branch comments listed under
paragraph 9 below, especially the fact that the subject properties have
been expropriated for road widening purposes (the future extension of
Frans Conradie Drive), which project may commence in approximately
10 years’ time and at which time the units will required to be vacated and
demolished;
 
d) The said branch accepts full responsibility for the management and
maintenance of the land and structures erected thereon, including
maintenance, utility consumption, security and content insurance, as is
applicable; and    
 
e) That all costs related to the occupation and utilization of the facility be
provided for by the SIMMS Branch.
