That Subcouncil 18 REFUSES the application of extension of liquor trading hours from 02:00 to 04:00 for off-consumption in respect of Swingers Pub and Restaurant (WCP/1030499) Erf 87, Wetwyn Road, Wetton based on the following reasons:

That the Western Cape Liquor Authority do not support the application;

That the Western Cape Liquor Authority received a lot of complaints in terms of the outlet that don’t adhere to their trading hours;

Numerous calls have been received from the community that the premises is still trading at 06:00 (am) and that a lot of vehicles are parked at the premises;

That Law Enforcement: Safety and Security (CoCT) also included in their comments the submissions made by the Western Cape Liquor Authority in terms of complaints regarding the premises non-compliance to their trading hours.
