Welcome to Subcouncil 9. Subcouncil boundaries are newly established, just after 2011 Local Government Elections, although the area has been in existence well over 30 years. It forms part of Khayelitsha history, where people from old Cape Town townships i.e. Gugulethu, Nyanga and Langa including those from other Provinces, due to influx and growing needs for services and amenities were to be temporary placed in Site C, while developing broader Khayelitsha in the early eighties.
