Informal settlements  In 2004 the City of Cape Town commissioned a study to provide data to inform the upgrading of the city's informal settlements. A total of 900 households in Joe Slovo, Nonqubela K-section and Sweet Home were interviewed for this purpose, and photographic studies and reports on the economic and health profiles and housing issues were compiled.
