Residential waste collection
Residential properties are classified as single title, sectional title and group housing.

Handy guidelines for refuse bin users

Single title properties and group housing schemes

Single title residential properties and group housing schemes are issued with one 240-litre container per household for waste. This container is collected once a week during weekdays (including public holidays), according to a scheduled programme.

Residents may place these containers on the pavement outside their homes preferably no later than 6 am on
waste collection days. Residents who need additional containers may apply for an enhanced service at an additional cost per container.

Sectional title

For sectional title properties, the relevant body corporate is issued with the required number of containers. These are also collected once a week during weekdays (including public holidays), according to a scheduled programme. It is the responsibility of the body corporate or homeowners' association to ensure the containers are placed on the pavement or other suitable area outside their waste storage rooms no later than 6 am on
waste collection days.

Garden waste collection

Residents may apply for ad-hoc garden refuse collection through the call centre at an additional cost. A reference number will be assigned to the caller and he/she will be advised to bundle the garden waste into manageable bundles and to put it out on the next scheduled weekly collection day.
