Eddie Chinnappen, Executive Director, Roads, Transport and Stormwater, uses the train as often as he can, to get from his home in the southern suburbs to work.

“Travelling by train is a feasible and viable option, and is better than many people think. Especially with the petrol price going through the roof, being stuck in traffic becomes an expensive exercise.

“It’s also important to promote green or environmentally conscious transport choices.

“The more people that use public transport such as trains, the safer it will become.”
