Instructions to use P & BDM Zoning viewer

To open the PBDM Zoning Map Viewer:
1. Read/print the instructions below.
2. Open the disclaimer page by clicking on the link "Read this disclaimer before proceeding to the viewer." at the bottom of this page (or here).
3. Click on the "PBDM Zoning Viewer" button at the bottom of the disclaimer page after checking the disclaimer acknowledgement check box above the PBDM Map Viewer button on the disclaimer page.

To search the existing and proposed converted zoning of a specific property, follow these instructions.
1. Click on ‘Search by address’ on the left hand side of the tool bar at the top.
2. Complete at least the ‘Street name’ or ‘Property (erf) number’ fields of the subject property on the dialogue box that comes up. Click Find.
3. From the Results table appearing on the screen, and depending on the applicable suburb as displayed, select the correct record by clicking on the 'magnifying glass' icon at the left of the specific line, which will take you to the relevant property on the map. Close the Results table window (▲ arrow) to enlarge the viewing screen.
4. Select ‘Identify’ ( ) tool on the right hand side of the tool bar at the top and click on the specific subject property.
5. On the dialogue box that comes up on the screen, hover over the ‘District (P & BDM Districts)’ heading and click on the down (▼) arrow that appears.
6. On the drop-down list that appears, click on the ‘Zoning (Existing and Proposed zoning)’ field. The results (Existing and Proposed new converted zoning) are displayed in a new dialogue box.
