To host an event at one of the City’s parks, follow the procedure below:
  1. Durbanville gardensAt least three weeks before your proposed event, fax or email a written motivation to City Parks, giving your contact details, location of park, dates, times and the purpose of the event. Fax this application to (021) 425-2685 or e-mail to cheryl.moses@capetown.gov.za.

  2. For any verbal queries, telephone Cheryl on 021 400 3829

  3. Late applications will not be considered

  4. Your application will be captured on a central booking system and forwarded to the relevant Area Manager for approval

  5. On approval, you will be contacted and notified of the fee. This may be either an administrative fee and/or a refundable deposit, depending on the relevant tariffs and official recommendations

  6. Before the permit can be issued, you will be given an invoice, to be paid at the Cash Office on the 2nd or 15th floor of the Cape Town Civic Centre. On payment, you will receive two (2) receipts

  7. You will be given your official permit once you provide City Parks with proof of payment. The City will retain on you the receipts and you will keep the other

  8. In the event of a religious event, normal tariffs maybe waived, depending on timing and official comment

  9. You as the applicant are required to abide by the rules and conditions stipulated on the permit
