2. Electricity dispenser loaded with 50 units of electricity

Electricity dispensers are loaded with 50 units of electricity that are recovered when electricity is
purchased.

3. Refund of electricity deposits held — existing electricity

Consumers with credit meters who change to electricity dispensers (prepayment meters).

In those instances where consumers receive monthly electricity accounts and change to energy
dispensers (prepayment meters), a cut-off reading is taken on the credit meter at the time of the installation of the electricity dispenser.

This cut-off reading is then used to finalise the electricity account (credit meter) and where
electricity deposits are held these are included in the reconciliation and finalisation of the
electricity account. A final account will be rendered in due course. Should you not settle the
account by due date the balance will be recovered by means of the auxillary deduction as per
paragraph three above.

4. By-law

Attention is drawn to the various provisions of the electricity supply by-law, in particular sections
50A:

(1) No refund of the amount tendered for the purchase of electricity credit will be given at the
point of sale after initiation of the process by which the prepayment meter token is produced.

(2)) When a consumer vacates premises where a prepayment meter is installed, no refund for the
credit remaining in the meter will be made to the consumer.
