Business in Cape Town

This section of the City's web portal provides accurate, relevant and reliable information that
enables you to make informed choices about conducting business in Cape Town.

The City's Economic and Human Development (EHD) Department is responsible for monitoring
Cape Town’s socio-economic inequalities, promoting local economic growth and initiating job
creation and poverty reduction measures. It does this via a range of projects and programmes,
such as Small Business Week, the Business Voucher Support Programme and the
Smart City Strategy.

The Cape Town Regional Chamber of Commerce and Industry has over 4 500 members and is
the largest institution of its kind in South Africa. The Chamber’s portal provides
commercial,
industrial and corporate information for all your business needs.
