Dial-a-Ride is a public transport service for people who have physical disabilities that prevent them from boarding and alighting from mainstream public transport (bus, train, minibus taxi) for their daily commute between home and work.
The current database of users has grown since the start of the service and now requires updating.
Existing registrations will expire on 31 December 2010. All existing and potential passengers are therefore required to
apply for registration. Once this is done, qualifying/eligible passengers will be issued with a new registration number that must be used from 1 January 2011.
Given the tight deadline, applications should be submitted without delay. The initial allocation of slots will be based on the applications received, assessed and approved by the middle of December 2010.
Information regarding the Dial-a-Ride service and application process can be found
