Registration on the City of Cape Town's vendor database

To enter into a business arrangement with us, please register on our vendor database by completing an application form (Annexure A - Declaration of interest - state employees) and by providing the necessary documentation in person to Supplier Management, 2nd Floor, Civic Centre, 12 Hertzog Boulevard, Cape Town for registration.

In procuring goods or services for the City, our department follows a fair, equitable, transparent and cost-effective process that is prescribed by policy. For goods and services below the value of R200 000, requests for quotations (RFQs) are published on the City’s website. Please visit this site regularly should you wish to read them.

We obtain goods and services to the value of R200 000 and above via a formal bidding process. Bids are advertised in local newspapers, including 'The Cape Times' and 'Die Burger' and can also be viewed on the website.

The City has implemented broad based black economic empowerment (BBBEE) to comply with legislative requirements. This information forms part of our vendors’ database.

The City has a gift policy applicable to all Councillors and Officials whereby they may not solicit or accept any reward, gift, hospitality or favour as prescribed in terms of the relevant legislation.
