An adventure centre is a facility at which young people and adults can improve their individual fitness and coordination skills, as well as their ability to work as a team and attain goals together. Princessvlei Eco Adventure Centre

The Princessvlei Eco Adventure Centre, situated in Elphindale, regularly hosts camps and teambuilding activities to help participants boost their self esteem and improve their ability to work as a team.

The facility also offers outdoor adventure recreation obstacles designed to challenge and empower youth and adults.

These include 13 low rope activities that comprise various obstacles designed to overcome trust barriers, to gain a better understanding of work colleagues, build relationships, create better levels of understanding and enable team members to enhance their communication and listening skills. Also on offer is a climbing wall, kayaking facilities, a BMX track, a cricket pitch, a braai area and a paintball course.

Princessvlei Eco Adventure Centre has dormitories that can accommodate up to 40 people and a conference room that can accommodate a maximum of 50 delegates.

Various team building exercises and ice-breakers are offered and activities include:

  • Overs-and-unders
  • Balancing beam
  • River runner
  • Climbing wall
  • High ropes course
