Waste disposal for special events

The City offers an ad-hoc service to registered business partners of Non-Profit Organisations (NPOs), to manage waste during special events such as festivals. This service is subject to the availability of resources, may not exceed 21 calendar days, and may not exceed one hundred and fifty 240-litre containers per event.
On request, the City will also deliver, collect and clean these containers. To apply for this service and to request a cost estimate, please contact the call centre. NPOs may opt, at no cost, to make use of City containers for special events.
NPOs must collect the waste disposal containers and return them in the same condition – the City will require proof of disposal at a recognised licensed landfill site. If the containers are not cleaned before their return, the City will clean them and invoice the NPO for these costs.
