Every year, the City reviews its 5-year plan, which spells out how the City will spend its money for the next five years, on what, and where. As public input is vital to help shape this plan, which also informs the budget, residents are invited to submit their comments on it between mid July and mid August.
Building our city together As the IDP is focussed on publicly identified areas for growth and development, it is essential that residents contribute to the review. Public participation will help steer the allocation of funds and interventions in the right direction. Simply put, the City needs your support to help shape Cape Town!
Residents can have their say via their subcouncils (see contact details below), completing the City’s
online form or e-mailing their comments to
idp@capetown.gov.za; faxing comments to 021 400 4909 or completing the feedback forms available at all libraries, clinics and cash offices .
The public engagement process will follow the time schedule on the City’s website.
