Electricity supply interruption in Kraaifontein

The City of Cape Town will interrupt the electricity supply to its customers in the Kraaifontein area on Sunday, 22 March 2009 from 05:30 to 16:00. In the event of bad weather on 22 March, the work will be carried out on Sunday, 29 March 2009.

The affected areas include:
Kraaifontein, Belmont Park, Klein Begin, Eikendal, Summerville, Kraaifontein Industry, Peerless Park North, Peerless Park East, van der Merwe Park, Scottsville, Windsor Estate, Bonnie Brook, Bonnie Brae, H Monument Park, Kraaifontein Ext 17, Zoo Park, Windsor Park, Langeberg Glen, Langeberg Ridge, Pinehurst and Uitzicht. The interruption is necessary to enable Eskom to carry out essential repairs on its high voltage network to ensure the quality of supply.

Enquiries can be directed to the Electricity Services’ all hours call centre on 0800 220 440.

Residents and businesses in the affected areas are asked to note that the supply could be restored at any time during this period, and that they should treat all electrical installations as being live for the full duration of the interruption.
