The City of Cape Town has welcomed a R1.5-million donation from national oil and gas company Petro SA, which will be spent on relief operations for residents affected by the recent heavy rains and flooding.
Petro SA Vice President Operations Dan Marokane presented a cheque to Executive Mayor Helen Zille on Wednesday 10 July.
The donation to the City's Disaster Management Team will help them co-ordinate the supply of food, blankets and other assistance to flood victims. |
